Alves: I will make it to Premier League one way or the other

Cape Town - Dani Alves has made some strong suggestions that he will make a move to the Premier League before the end of his career.

The Brazilian right-back, who has over 100 caps for his country, has played in some of the world's best leagues, including in Spain with Sevilla and Barcelona, Italy with Juventus, while he is currently with Paris Saint-Germain in France's Ligue 1.

Alves has previously attracted interest from Chelsea and Manchester City but with his career winding down, the 35-year-old says he would welcome a move to England.

Currently recovering from an anterior cruciate ligament tear, Alves told The Telegraph: "The idea that I might finish my career without going to the Premier League, it is not possible.

"For sure, this is the most amazing football in the world. First, because of the respect for the players from the fans, and then because of the passion on the pitch.

"If I can play, that would be perfect, but I will make it there one way or the other."
