Cherries set asking price for Arsenal target Fraser

Cape Town - Bournemouth have reportedly told Arsenal they will lodge a bid of at least £25 million if they are serious about signing midfielder Ryan Fraser in the off-season.

The Gunners have long been linked with a move for the Scotland international, who was a revelation in the Premier League last season, but Bournemouth's valuation is sure to put them off.

Fraser has just 12 months remaining on his current deal, and with there being no sign of him penning a new one, he will be available for free this time next year.

With that in mind, Arsenal will be unwilling to pay £25 million for a player who they could have for nothing a year down the line, especially when money is said to be tight at the Emirates Stadium.

Other interested parties are also set to be put off, and there is a chance Fraser will be remaining at the Vitality Stadium for at least another 12 months.

The Cherries will attempt to get the winger tied down to a new deal during that time and will offer him a bumper pay rise in the hope he will accept.
