Team Profile - Manchester City

Cape Town - The defending English Premier League champions remain the team to beat ahead of the 2019/2020 campaign with the relentless Pep Guardiola-led side aiming to create a footballing dynasty.

The Citizens became the first side to defend their Premier League title - when being crowned back-to-back champions - since Manchester United in the 2007/2008; 2008/2009 campaigns.

The bookies again have Man City as favourites to lift another Premier League trophy with odds of 57/100 ahead of Liverpool (23/10), Tottenham Hotspur (16/1) and Chelsea (20/1).

Guardiola so far has made two signings with highly-rated midfielder Rodri joining from Atletico Madrid and bringing back left-back Angelino from PSV on a buy-back option.
