United keen to send Sanchez out on loan - report

Cape Town - Manchester United outcast Alexis Sanchez is likely to depart the club on loan in the near future, with Serie A side Roma said to be interested in acquiring his services.

Despite United's best attempts to offload Sanchez during the off-season, the Chilean remains at Old Trafford, picking up a hefty wage packet and playing little football.

There had been talk of some of Europe's top clubs lining up a swoop, but no-one has been willing to match United's valuation and pay his astronomical wages on top.

It means United are now hoping to ship him out on loan and are even willing to pay some of his wages to get the deal over the line.

Roma have expressed an interest to take him on loan for the entire season, but like many before them, they are unable to match his wages, which are reported to be as much as £500 000 a week.

United are now ready to carry on paying some of his wages to help push through a move to the Stadio Olimpico and talks are ongoing with the Giallorossi to get the move done.

There is plenty of time to get the deal done before the European window closes, but United are said to want him out of the door as soon as possible.

Sanchez's move to Old Trafford has been a disaster as he has failed to find the form that made him one of the most feared attackers in Europe during his time with Arsenal.

The form that leads to United and Manchester City scrapping it out for his signature, with the Reds eventually winning the race. A race they no doubt now wish they had lost.

Not only has Sanchez eaten up large amounts in wages, struggled with injuries and form, and played little football for United, he is also reported to have been a very unsettling influence in the Reds dressing room and on the training pitch.

Former boss Jose Mourinho has suggested as much, and it appears to be no different under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, hence United's eagerness to get him out of the club as soon as possible.

Fresh reports have emerged of a training ground bust-up with United youngster Mason Greenwood that could lead to the former Arsenal and Barcelona star being banished to train with the reserves.

United want him away from Carrington altogether and it looks as though they are working hard to make sure the deal with Roma happens.
