Amakhosi suffer defeat in pre-season friendly

Cape Town - Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs let slip a 1-0 lead to lose 2-1 to Botswana giants Township Rollers in their pre-season friendly match in Tlokweng.

Bruce Bvuma started lined up between the sticks, with Itumeleng Khune still some way short of full match fitness.

Recent acquisitions Lazarous Kambole, Samir Nurkovic and Lazarous Kambole all started, while James Kotei was on the bench.

Bernard Parker gave Amakhosi the lead, but Kaone van der Westhuizen and Tumisang Orebonye overturned that deficit for Rollers.

Meanwhile, Amakhosi face arch-rivals Orlando Pirates in the Carling Black Label Cup at FNB Stadium on Saturday.

Kick-off is at 15:00.
