AmaZulu smash Celtic in Durban

Cape Town - AmaZulu demolished Bloemfontein Celtic with a 3-0 scoreline in the Absa Premiership on Wednesday as Emiliano Tade collected a brace at the Goodwill Zwelethini Stadium.

In the opening stages, Marc Van Heerden forced Patrick Tignyemb into a great save.

Thereafter, Siwelele came close as Menzi Masuku went through one-on-one with Siyabonga Mbatha but the keeper thwarted him expertly.

The lively Tade nearly made it 1-0 when he rattled the post from range.

The same player did make it 1-0 as he dummied his marker to convert beyond Tignyemb just before the hour mark.

Usuthu doubled their advantage later in the half from the penalty spot as Tade showed composure to complete his brace in fine style.

The away side saw further misery when Lorenzo Gordinho saw red for a foul on Bongi Ntuli.

Veteran Siyabonga Nomvethe showed his class as he curled home a free-kick much to the delight of the home support.

The results sees the outfit from Durban rise out of the relegation places while Steve Komphela's Celtic drop to sixth in the standings in South Africa's top flight.
