Cape Town - Al Ahly are reportedly pushing to try and get Amr Gamal to end his loan spell at Bidvest Wits and move to Finnish outfit HJK Helsinki.
Gamal started brightly for the Clever Boys after penning a season-long loan deal with the PSL champions last year and was an integral part of the team that won the Telkom Knockout earlier this season.
But he's struggled for game-time in the league and has seemingly not been able to integrate himself fully into the South African football culture.
Now, with Egypt set to take part in the 2018 Soccer World Cup in a few months' time, Al Ahly are keen to find a new club for the Pharaohs striker.
Red Devils head of transfers committee, Adly El-Qeiy, told KingFut: "We're helping Amr Gamal to complete his move to HJK Helsinki.
"He expressed his dissatisfaction to his manager which created a gap between the two and led to his exclusion, that's why he wants to leave to be able to join the Egyptian national team.
"Helsinki want to sign Gamal with an option to buy and are willing to pay the needed fees when they decide to permanently sign him.
"The competition in Finland starts in March, we don't have a problem to postpone his return to the club to August."
The Clever Boys next face Angolan side Clube Desportivo Primeiro de Agosto in a return-leg CAF Champions League clash at the Bidvest Stadium going into the tie with a 1-0 deficit.
