Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs assistant coach Shaun Bartlett says the club doesn't feel any added pressure to achieve the success their fans deserve.
Chiefs endured a poor 2018/19 campaign as they finished outside of the MTN8 places in ninth, and lost the final of the Nedbank Cup to TS Galaxy.
As such, major changes have been promised ahead of 2019/20 with Lazarous Kambole's arrival from Zesco United a clear indication the Glamour Boys mean business.
Nonetheless, Bartlett takes the view that it will be a collective team effort to achieve success.
He said: "Whether it's a match or it's about signings, we're not competing with anyone. We've got to make sure we do the proper things ourselves.
"We need to implement what we need to, like bring the youngsters in that's necessary, and then focus on what we have to do.
"We fight with ourselves, like, you know that cliche. It's the person you're looking at in the mirror, and that for us is important.
"We're not competing with any club in this league. We just want to make sure we can do our best and get the results needed."
