Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs coach Giovanni Solinas says the club will use the FIFA international break to allow injured players to fully recover ahead of their Telkom Knockout semi-final clash against Orlando Pirates on Saturday, November 24.
Chiefs have had a number of players struggling with their fitness levels as well as an assortment of injuries. Midfielder Andriamirado Andrianarimanana is not yet match fit while Bernard Parked is injured along with Lebogang Manyama (fractured elbow) and Joseph Molangoane (broken leg).
"We are protecting some players, as they are not fully match fit," Solinas told Chiefs' official website.
"Remember, Dax arrived at the club carrying a niggling injury. He is getting there, but it will take a bit of time to catch up with the rest of the team.
"We will use the upcoming FIFA break to prepare the team for this clash. We hope that Manyama and Parker will return to full fitness during the period to add firepower (to) our offensive play."
Meanwhile, no update has been provided as yet with regards to the health and condition of Wiseman Meyiwa, who was involved in a serious car accident in early November.
The Glamour Boys are set to face the Sea Robbers later this month in a keenly anticipated clash at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban.
