'Dax' still eyes Black Leopards opportunity

Black Leopards midfielder Andriamirado Andrianarimanana still hopes to wear the Lidoda Duvha shirt before the end of the season despite the uncertainty over his future.

'Dax', as the Madagascar international is popularly known, moved to Kaizer Chiefs in 2018, but he is currently banned for four months after FIFA ruled his switch from Fosa Juniors was illegal.

After his arrival at Amakhosi, the 28-year-old failed to impress and was transferred to Black Leopards, where he is yet to make his mark.

With the Absa Premiership suspended due to the coronavirus outbreak, Andrianarimanana believes the break might actually work in his favour.

"I’m currently staying at home, training slow,” Andrianarimanana told FarPost.

"Yes boss after two months, finish the problem. Yes, I play after two months. After two months I come back to resume playing, after two months.

"It’s Jesus who gave me this, not Corona, Jesus. Ja, Jesus gave me."

After he joined the Chiefs, it was Juniors who went to FIFA to appeal the transfer, claiming that he still had a contract with them.

While Amakhosi insisted he was out of contract, FIFA ruled in favour of the Malagsy outfit and banned the player, as well as slapping the Soweto giants with a transfer embargo over to windows.

Both club and player have appealed the ruling to the Court of Arbitration for Sport but the case remains pending.
