Cape Town - Bidvest Wits coach Gavin Hunt says his side are in a positive mood ahead of Saturday's Telkom Knockout semi-final against Kaizer Chiefs, despite Amakhosi's recent good form under Steve Komphela.
Chiefs are unbeaten in five games in all competitions while the Absa Premiership champions are second from bottom in the division after a challenging start to the campaign.
Nonetheless, Hunt takes the view that results have gone against his team largely due to injuries in key positions, although he is optimistic of a good performance against the Glamour Boys.
He told Sowetan Live, "The right side is out‚ then the central midfield is out. Our defence has been out. So we are still sort of stumbling around to get a consistent eight or nine in our selection‚ which we haven’t.
"So that’s been the biggest problem we’ve had. So if you compare us to‚ like‚ a Chiefs‚ that hasn’t happened (for us). But we’re still in good spirits.”
This weekend's clash will take place at the BidVest Stadium in Johannesburg. The action gets underway from 15:30 with a place in the final at stake. In the second semi on Sunday, Polokwane City take on Bloemfontein Celtic.
