Cape Town - Former Kaizer Chiefs assistant coach Farouk Khan feels striker Lazarous Kambole will come good for Amakhosi but needs time to settle at his new club.
Kambole was one of the Soweto giants' high-profile signings before the season, joining from Zambian side Zesco United, but is yet to set the scene alight in South Africa.
Khan though believes Kambole should be afforded time to adapt to local football just as Kaizer Chiefs gave Collins Mbesuma who went on to become a fan favourite and scored plenty of goals for Amakhosi.
"I think he is a good player," Khan told KickOff.
"Kambole is a player that I think scored a lot of goals for his club in Zambia, and I think if given time he will score goals as well.
"He just needs to be given time to settle down, he will score goals.
"Under Muhsin (Ertugral) he hardly played (Mbesuma), it's only afterwards when he started making his mark.
"In football when a player moves from one club to another there's what we call an adaptation period, and sometimes the adaptation period is longer for some than others."
When the Absa Premiership resumes, Amakhosi travel to Pretoria for an epic clash against rivals Mamelodi Sundowns on October 27.
