Cape Town - Former Ajax Cape Town midfielder Toriq Losper has been training with Bidvest Wits as head coach Gavin Hunt looks to reinforce his midfield options.
The Students have been hit with a succession of long-term injuries to midfielders Daylon Claasen and Granwald Scott leaving Hunt short of options in the middle of the park.
The 26-year-old Losper will add a different dimension to the engine room and can provide cover as either a deep lying holding midfielder and in an advanced attacking role.
Losper who was released by the relegated Ajax Cape Town previously spent a season on loan at Wits under Hunt in the 2014/15 campaign.
Despite bringing in highly-rated midfielders like Haashim Domingo and Bantu Mzwakali, Hunt told reporters that he was still looking to bring in one more body - believed to be Losper.
"We need to sign a player maybe. We need to get one to help us somewhere, we are short," Hunt said.
