Mahachi not worried about facing Orlando Pirates

Cape Town - SuperSport United midfielder Kudakwashe Mahachi says he has no major concerns about facing his former employers Orlando Pirates in Wednesday's Absa Premiership clash.

Mahachi left Pirates during pre-season and moved to SuperSport United along with striker Thamsanqa Gabuza.

The Zimbabwe international played just 11 league matches last season and scored three goals, during a campaign disrupted by injury.

Speaking ahead of the clash at Mbombela Stadium , he said: "Firstly, I want to thank Orlando Pirates and the chairman [Irvin Khoza] for giving me the opportunity to play for a big club like Pirates.

"But I don't want to look back. I'm happy that I've found my home at SuperSport United, so I've started working hard to win something with the team.

"I'm new, so I'm still trying to see the structures, like the game model of the team, and I'm pushing myself extra hard so that I can be there [on the pitch].

"I don't have anything to worry about. Pirates is a good team, they are a big team in South Africa, and they play good football.

"For us as a team, we need to be prepared. Our coach knows that when you play against Pirates, they are a good playing team and he knows everything about them.

"We just need to focus on his game-plan as players, so that we can try to win the game. I haven't been asked [about their tactical setup or anything]."

Kick-off is 19:30 in Nelspruit.
