Manyama: There is always room for improvement

Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Lebogang Manyama is pleased with the form he is in this season but added that he always has room for improvement.

Manyama already has three goals and two assists in 12 appearances this campaign and has helped the Amakhosi open up a ten-point lead at the top of the PSL table while they play Maritzburg United in the Telkom Knockout semi-final on Sunday.

The 29-year-old struggled for the Soweto giants last season after spending some time in Turkey and admitted he had some personal problems to deal with.

Manyama said in quotes posted on Goal: "Personally, it was a matter of getting over whatever problems I had last season.

"It took a lot mentally, but I know what I am capable of.

"I believe in myself a lot and I don't really worry about situations that I cannot control.

"This is a new season and I had to get stronger and avoid all the problems I had last season and yeah, so far so good but there's always room for improvement and I just try to improve in each and every game."

Manyama, who has also earned a recall to the Bafana Bafana squad, is expected to play a key role for Chiefs when they take on the Team of Choice in the last four of the Telkom Knockout on Sunday at the Mbombela Stadium.
