Johannesburg - Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Oupa Manyisa is eager to sink his teeth into the new season as the Brazilians aim to defend their Premiership title once again.
The Bafana Bafana star left Orlando Pirates to join Pitso Mosimane's charges in August last year and instantly established himself as a first-team regular by appearing in 27 of their 30 Premiership games.
"All I can say is that I'm looking forward to another great season," Manyisa told SowetanLive.
"The team can rely on me but, as I said, it's not about me. There are a lot of other guys and we just have to put our heads together moving forward."
Sundowns clinched their third Premiership title in five years when they lifted the trophy at the end of last season, but Manyisa has urged his team-mates not to dwell on their past success.
"We won the league, but now we have to put that at the back of our heads and get ready for the new season.
"We are going to face Chiefs to do what we have been doing throughout pre-season."
The Brazilians will face Kaizer Chiefs in their league opener at Loftus Stadium on Saturday.
