"Maccabi Football Club are pleased to confirm the appointment of new head coach Joel Masutha," the club said in a statement.
"Maccabi are grateful to be able to secure a coach with such knowledge and vast experience considering his previous coaching positions in both the PSL and NFD.
Masutha, who undertakes his third coaching position - after his time at Black Leopards and Chippa - will be aiming to make an immediate impact.
"I'm very happy and humbled to be part of Maccabi FC," he said. "I'm looking forward to enjoying and working very hard with a bunch of talented players and a very good technical team backed by a much organised management team.
"Together I foresee a great second round."
Maccabi director Alan Norman says that Masutha has vast experience in the NFD and PSL and his knowledge and skills would be of great value to a young but talented technical team who will all be remaining with the club.
The Johannesburg-based outfit find themselves in 10th position in the NFD standings with 21 points after 17 games played in the 30-game season.
