Micho warns Pirates players: Football can punch us back

Cape Town - Orlando Pirates coach Milutin 'Micho' Sredojevic is wary of complacency ahead of Wednesday's clash with Cape Town City.

The Buccaneers put in a fine performance to beat SuperSport United 3-1 on Saturday and moved to third place on the table, while Cape Town City were humbled 1-4 by Kaizer Chiefs.

Sredojevic has however cautioned his charges to stay grounded for the match against the Citizens at the Orlando Stadium on Wednesday night.

"We will not get carried away because football rewarded us for the hard work, but we know that it can punch us back on Wednesday," he said.

"They know us, and we know them. At the moment we are flying with confidence, and in football that you can only get from winning.

"[City] have proven themselves by reaching the final [MTN8]. We know that we are playing a competitive team in their match before the final."

Kick-off is at 19:30.
