Former Orlando Pirates midfielder Teko Modise says that Thabo Rakhale needs to be more consistent with his performances if he does move to Kaizer Chiefs.
According to Soccer Laduma, Rakhale is on Amakhosi's transfer list despite serving a one-year transfer ban as they hope to strengthen their squad in the offseason.
"I have nothing negative to say about Rakhale, he is my boy, I love him, but the facts are, playing at the position he is, with his talent I think he should be more on the score-sheet than him having too many videos of dribbling people," Modise said.
"I will say this, at Orlando Pirates he was a fan favourite and he didn't stay there long, so if that opportunity comes again for him to play for a big club like Kaizer Chiefs – if it happens again, if he wants to be a fan favourite he knows exactly where he is going to end up."
Modise feels that if a move does happen, the Chippa United midfielder would need to step up his game in order to become a regular starter.
"The demands at a big team are big and every game is a big game for big teams, so for Jomo (Rakhale) not playing regularly at Chippa, his consistency has always been an issue for me - where I know what he is capable of but he is struggling to be consistent and to have a great season. I have never been in a position where I said – Rakhale had a great season," he concluded.
