Mosimane happy to remain at Chloorkop

Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane says he has no intention of leaving the club and will remain at Chloorkop as long as they want him.

In the wake of celebrating his fifth anniversary at Masandawana, Mosimane claims there are no realistic options for him to depart.

The 53-year-old has won two Absa Premiership titles, the CAF Champions League, Nedbank Cup and the Telkom Knockout during his tenure.

Brazilians owner Patrice Motsepe recently stated his intention to create a platform for the former Bafana Bafana boss to become the 'Sir Alex Ferguson' of Sundowns.

With Masandawana leading in the Absa Premiership standings, it seems all the more likely the sustained success will continue.

"When you are loved and liked. When the president speaks like that (praising him) then you should humble yourself," Mosimane told the Sowetan.

"I have only coached two teams in the Absa Premiership. I will stay here as long as Sundowns want me. Do I want to leave this team? No, I don't want to leave; where am I going?"

With Maritzburg United next up, Mosimane said that it's important that his squad change their mentality after moving to the summit.

"We need to put our experience into place because when you are on top of the log everybody shoots at you. The challenge you have sometimes on top is complacency," he said.

Play on Wednesday gets underway at 19:30.
