Cape Town - Former Orlando Pirates midfielder Marshall Munetsi has revealed joining Stade de Reims in France's Ligue 1 is a dream come true.
On Tuesday Munetsi sealed his switch to the French top flight having made 16 Premiership appearances for the Sea Robbers in 2018/19.
The 22-year-old expressed delight at joining his new side and said he was committed to bringing success to the outfit from Reims.
He told the club's official website: "I fell in love with football, coming to Europe was a childhood dream, today it's my greatest achievement and it's up to me to make sure there are others now [Translated and edited].
"I had to go to the national team and I was called to tell me that several European clubs were interested, (including) Reims. As soon as I met the leaders and visited the facilities, I did not hesitate.
"My family always encouraged me a lot, I had to get away from them for football and there were not just good times but when you are passionate about a sport. We do a lot of things every day. Today I am just a young person who wants to help the team. I grew up watching clubs like Barcelona or Ajax."
