Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs striker Samir Nurkovic admits that he did not hesitate to sign for the Soweto giants when the club made an offer.
The Serbian-born is one of four new players the Glamour Boys signed during the current transfer window.
The 27-year-old joined Kaizer Chiefs early in July from KFC Komarno, a Slovakian football team.
"The call came just after the end of the previous season in Slovakia. My agent called and said Chiefs was interested in my services," he said as quoted by the club’s website.
"He told me one great team in South Africa is interested. I didn’t hesitate to accept the offer. I think it took me about the 10 min to accept the offer.”
"I was amazed when I arrived at the Chiefs Village. We have all what it is required for professional football. It is amazing.
"The support we get is another exciting and unbelievable aspect here. The peace sign fascinates me, and I look forward to contributing in making the supporters happy."
Having made his debut against Orlando Pirates in the Carling Black Label Cup last week, the striker is likely to lead Amakhosi’s attack when they travel to Tembisa on Sunday, August 4 for an Absa Premiership encounter away to Highlands Park.
He added: "I want to give my best to help the team and looking forward to my first official match for Chiefs."
Kick-off is at 15:00.
