Ntsikelelo Nyauza attributes his success at Orlando Pirates to being "mentored and guided" by Happy Jele.
The 29-year-old former Platinum Stars and Roses United defender underlined not only the impact Jele had on his career but other Bucs stalwarts Lucky Lekgwathi and Siyabonga Sangweni.
In an interview with Soccer Laduma, Nyauza who has made 21 appearances in all competitions for Pirates this season, evening captaining the side on occasion, couldn't speak more highly of his team-mate.
Nyauza said: "Happy Jele has come a long way here at Pirates to get to where he is, to get the captain’s armband.
"He also learnt from his elders such as Lekgwathi and Sangweni.
"I also got here, and I am learning from him as an elder, so that when I get to that point where I am needed to lead the team, then he would have mentored and guided me.
"I see the leadership qualities and I know that whenever he retires, I would have learnt a lot from him as a leader. He grooms all of us as players. I have learnt so much from him as a leader."
