Pitso backs Percy Tau to land bigger club in future

Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane is backing Percy Tau to feature a big-name club in the future.

The Bafana Bafana forward made headlines this week when he signed for Belgium giants Club Brugge on loan from Premier League side Brighton.

Mosimane, who coached Tau during his time at Mamelodi Sundowns, believes he can use Brugge as a springboard to a larger club that fits his talent.

"Club Brugge is a good club," Mosimane told KickOff.

"They had their success and they remain a big club. At the moment it’s Anderlecht conquering that space. Of course, it’s better than where he was.

"When he plays well at Club Brugge, he will be able to move to other countries. But I think he had the ability to go to a bigger country.

"I had the people calling me to say the boy should come to La Liga and Ligue 1, seriously. Look I don’t want to say anything because he has people guiding him. I’ve done my work with Percy, I’m done.

"He comes to me for advice and to bounce off anything, but I did my work with him and the door is open. I’m happy he is going to a better team. But I’ll always say he could do better."
