Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns are reportedly set to allow Toni Silva to depart the club after an offer was received for his services from an unnamed Egyptian side.
Silva joined Sundowns at the start of the campaign and was widely heralded as a replacement for Khama Billiat, who left the Brazilians to join Kaizer Chiefs.
The forward arrived with a big reputation having been in the junior ranks of both Chelsea and Liverpool as a youngster.
However, despite a promising start to life at Chloorkop, the player was never able to hit the heights and establish himself as a key performer.
During his brief stint with the Brazilians, Silva managed two goals in 11 appearances though has not featured in a Premiership contest since November.
As such, a source has told KickOff website that the Equatorial Guinea star is free to leave in the January transfer window.
The source told the publication: "Toni Silva is leaving Sundowns after he received an offer from Egypt."
Meanwhile, coach Pitso Mosimane has also revealed the player wants to leave following Wednesday's 1-0 victory over Maritzburg United.
Others that could exit Downs this month are Mogakolodi Ngele, Lucky Mohomi, George Lebese and Cuthbert Malajila. Siyabonga Zulu has already parted ways with the reigning Premiership champions.
