Teenage Hadebe offer too good for Chiefs to turn down

Cape Town - Mike Makaab, the agent to former Kaizer Chiefs defender Teenage Hadebe, has revealed he joined Yeni Malatyaspor as it was a good deal for all parties involved.

Hadebe didn't win great acclaim for his performances at Naturena with some supporters at times accusing him of being clumsy and reckless in the tackle.

As such, the Zimbabwe international has departed the Glamour Boys and will now play his football for Malatyaspor in Turkey's top flight.

The move means Chiefs still have one too many foreigners though Leonardo Castro is expected to depart as he is transfer-listed.

Makaab told reporters: "It was a surprise to us as much as it was a surprise to a lot of people.

"But I have to be honest and say it was a really good offer.

"Zimbabwe didn't cover themselves in glory, so I am not sure the offer had much to do with the AFCON.

"But it was a fair offer and a good opportunity for the player. He had a long chat with the club and at the end of the day all parties were happy with the deal. I am told they were interested in Teenage before the tournament."
