Cape Town - SuperSport United coach Kaitano Tembo has hinted that the club's title challenge could be over after Saturday's 0-0 draw with Polokwane City.
Tembo said in the week leading up to the draw with Rise and Shine that a Premiership challenge was possible if his side could pick up wins in their remaining matches.
However, the goalless tie with City sees United resting in sixth position, 10 points behind leaders Orlando Pirates though they do have two games in hand.
He told reporters: "I think the two points dropped was a setback, obviously this is not the right time to drop points.
"I was happy with the performance. We haven't played for almost a month and we didn't look sharp especially in the final third.
"We should have wrapped up the game in the first half, we created many chances to win the game but in the final third we were not that sharp."
The return of the in-form Mxolisi Macuphu could come as a boost ahead of the away league game against Mamelodi Sundowns on Wednesday at the Loftus Versfeld Stadium.
Kick-off is at 19:30.
