The Buccaneers host Matsatsantsa at the Orlando Stadium on Saturday, the second meeting between the two sides this season after SuperSport recorded victory via penalties in the MTN8 quarter-finals.
Pule has made a very bright start to his time at Pirates after signing from Bidvest Wits in the off-season, and started last weekend for Bafana Bafana in an AFCON qualifier.
However, he picked up a slight knock on national team duty and it's currently uncertain as to whether he will be ready for the action in Soweto on Saturday.
"Vincent Pule is due to undergo a late fitness test ahead of the Absa Premiership clash against SuperSport United on Saturday," read a statement on the Pirates website.
"Pule, who recently returned from national team duty where he made his debut in South Africa's goalless draw against Libya, is carrying a slight muscle strain coming into this match over the weekend.
"The Bucs medical team have described his injury as 'not serious' however, they still need to assess the 26-year old before clearing him to play against Matsatsantsa."
In other news, Zambian international Augustine Mulenga is available again after recovering from an injury which has side-lined him for the past few weeks.
"Mulenga returns to full fitness ahead of the clash ironically against the same United side he last played against. The 28-year old has been out of action since injuring his ankle in Pirates' penalty defeat to United in the MTN8 last month."
