Cape Town - Baroka FC has hit out at the awarding of a controversial goal to Chippa United that proved decisive in a 1-0 loss in an Absa Premiership clash at the Sisa Dukashe Stadium on Saturday.
Chippa secured new head coach Eric Tinkler's first win since his appointment thanks to a dramatic goal in the 86th by Andile Mbenyane.
The veteran attacker rose highest to meet a cross from the left to secure his side all three points and a much-needed win.
Video footage though shows that the goal was awarded in controversial circumstances as Mbenyane's headed effort was straight at goalkeeper Elvis Chipezeze who appeared to save it before the ball crossed the goal-line.
After the final whistle Baroka took to their official Twitter account to hit out at the referee's decision to award the "goal".
