Cape Town - Ayanda Patosi stole the show in Soweto as his man-of-the-match performance secured a vital point for Cape Town City against Orlando Pirates.
The Citizens found themselves 2-0 down at half-time courtesy of Augustine Mulenga and Innocent Maela after the Buccaneers took full control of the match, as the Mother City side played without their coach Benni McCarthy in the dugout.
The 40-year-old had to attend to a family emergency and assistant coach Vasili Manousakis took charge of the fixture at Orlando Stadium.
City came out much more determined in the second-half as Patosi scored two crucial goals in under 10 minutes.
The 25-year-old brought a clearance under control on his chest inside the D and volleyed the ball into the top-left corner, leaving Siyabonga Mpontshane with no chance of getting a glove on it.
Patosi did the damage once more.
He whipped in a free-kick from the left that eluded everyone and nestled in the bottom-right corner of the goal, with Mpontshane unmoved.
