Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Philani Zulu remains out of the loop regarding his future at the Soweto giants, according to his agent Saheed Adebayo.
The 27-year-old left-back has found regular game time difficult to come by under head coach Ernst Middendorp this season, with the German preferring Siphosakhe Ntiya-Ntiya and Yagan Sasman in the starting lineup.
Zulu's agent has revealed that it remains unclear whether Amakhosi will be opening negotiations with his client over a new contract, but believes it will be resolved once the league returns from the current Covid-19 lockdown.
"At this point in time, I don't know what is going to happen with Zulu at Chiefs since the league was suspended," Adebayo told DailySun.
"Bobby Motaung [Chiefs football manager] has not mentioned anything to me if the club will renew his contract. But I think things will become clearer when the season resumes."
Zulu signed for Chiefs from Maritzburg United in 2017. He has made only three league appearances this season.
