Djokovic's dad launches another attack at 'jealous' Federer
Cape Town - Novak Djokovic's father, Srdan, has launched another attack at tennis great Roger Federer, saying he is "jealous" of his son.
According to Fox Sports, the latest attack came in the form of an interview for Serbian newspaper Novosti.
"Federer has been jealous of Novak from the moment he made his breakthrough because he knew that my son was better than him and that he would tower over him," Srdan was quoted as saying.
"Federer is an outstanding tennis player, but I couldn’t say that about his humanity."
Srdan has launched several attacks on Federer's character over the years, with the report indicating that the first came back in 2013 when he said: "Federer is perhaps still the best tennis player in history, but as a man he’s the opposite."
Djokovic, who won the 2020 Australian Open, has now amassed 17 Grand Slam titles to Federer's 20.
Federer, meanwhile, has been ruled out of the upcoming French Open with a knee injury.
