Awkward ... McEnroe talks about seeing Nadal NAKED!

Cape Town - Television commentator and former tennis great John McEnroe fired off a verbal foot fault in his on-court interview with 2019 Australian Open finalist Rafael Nadal, telling Rod Laver Arena on Thursday he'd seen the Spaniard NUDE.

According to the Stuff website, Nadal had just destroyed Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas 6-2, 6-4, 6-0 in just an hour and 46 minutes to reach his fifth Australian Open final, when he was victim of the bizarre McEnroe interview.

"I'm going to make some people jealous here," McEnroe said.

"I've got to be honest, at the end of the second set I had to take a quick bathroom break.

"I was finishing taking this very quick bathroom break when all of a sudden I started to walk out and I saw a naked Rafael Nadal in the bathroom."

Nadal, 32, was intrigued enough to ask the American tennis legend for his impression.

"I thought to myself, that looks a lot like my body. No. Absolutely lying about that," McEnroe said.

"I said to myself, I wish I had a body like that."

McEnroe is a seven-time Grand Slam winner, while Nadal will be seeking his 18th Major win in Sunday's final in Melbourne.
