Proteas batter David Bedingham said better choices in his shot-making allowed him to convert his start in the second Test against New Zealand to a cherished maiden Test ton after failing to convert in the first Test.

Bedingham's 110 allowed South Africa to post 235 in the second innings, leaving New Zealand with 267 to win.
