The SA20, on an admittedly micro-level, has emulated the Premier League during certain seasons where the lower-ranked sides (read the relegation battle) command more attention than the battle of the top dogs.

Indeed, with Durban Super Giants, Sunrisers Eastern Cape and Paarl Royals all assured of qualification for the play-offs, the big talking point for the run-in of the round robin stage is how the bottom three sides - Joburg Super Kings, Pretoria Capitals and MI Cape Town - are vying for one last spot in the knock-outs.

Currently, JSK occupy fourth place on 13 points with the Capitals fifth on 10 and MI Cape Town stone last on nine.
