You'd think after spending almost 235 days alone at sea, South African skipper Kirsten Neuschäfer would have been happy to trade her weary sea legs for the comfort of a luxurious room in a French hotel.

But Neuschäfer, who became the first woman to win the prestigious Golden Globe Race (GGR) when she crossed the finish line in Les Sables-d'Olonne on the French coast on Thursday night, had other ideas.
