Pressure is once again drawn to the pool and onto the broad shoulders of South Africa's swimmers ahead of the Paris Olympics, which is scheduled to get underway from 28 July to 11 August.
In an Olympic year, there is no other place but in the water where South Africa's medal prospects lie.
Swimming has been South Africa's most successful Olympic sport since readmission - they have won 16 medals so far. It's seen the country beaming with pride and produced heartwarming Olympic moments, as well as greats like Ryk Neethling, Penny Heyns, Roland Schoeman, Natalie du Toit and Cameron van der Burgh.
