Under-fire Blitzboks coach Sandile Ngcobo could not hide his frustration following a woeful showing at the LA Sevens this past weekend where his side lost to Ireland, Argentina and Samoa to finish a dismal 11th.

A week earlier, the four-time World Sevens Series champions did not fare much better, finishing bottom of their pool to limp home in ninth.

A campaign that promised so much for the South Africans after a stunning victory in Dubai on the first weekend has turned into a nightmare, and the Blitzboks now occupy a modest seventh place on the 2023/24 series log.
