The Springbok Sevens side enter this weekend's Cape Town Sevens eager to end a dry spell at their home event.

The Blitzboks' last home triumph came in 2015 - when the event was staged in the Mother City for the first time.

Since then, England (2016), New Zealand (2017), Fiji (2018), New Zealand (2019) and Samoa (2022) took home the gold medal in Cape Town. (The event wasn't staged in 2020 and 2021 due to Covid-19).
