It is unfair to blame flyhalf Manie Libbok for the Stormers' 22-21 European Champions Cup last 16 defeat to La Rochelle at Cape Town Stadium on Saturday, says captain Salmaan Moerat.
The 26-year-old Springbok World Cup winner had a conversion to win the match and book a spot in the tournament's quarter-finals after Suleiman Hartzenberg scored a final-play try, but Libbok pulled his kick to the left as the Stormers players hit the deck in disappointment.
The near gale-force winds that persevered throughout the contest, however, had made kicking, passing and lineout throwing incredibly difficult.
