Shimlas caused somewhat of an upset in the Varsity Cup on Monday night when they comprehensively beat Maties by 50-28 in Bloemfontein.

In the process, they broke a seven-match losing streak to the men from the Western Cape.

Undoubtedly the try of the match was scored by flyhalf George Lourens with his side having just 13 men on the field at the time.
