Serial winner Pitso Mosimane never thought that an honorary doctorate would be part of his honours list, in a coaching career that has seen him win every major trophy on offer in Africa.
The three-time CAF Champions League-winning coach will be conferred with an honorary Doctor of Philosophy by the University of Johannesburg (UJ) at a ceremony to be held on 25 July.
The university announced it would honour the 59-year-old for his "notable success as a football player and national and international coach", celebrating the work he has done in raising African football's profile as one of the most vocal and successful coaches in the continent.
