Cape Town - South Africa's Kevin Anderson enters Sunday's Wimbledon final as a massive underdog against three-time champion, Serbia's Novak Djokovic.

Anderson has defied the odds in his last three matches, beating France's Gael Monfils (Round of 16), Switzerland's Roger Federer (quarter-finals) and American John Isner (semi-finals) for the first time on grass in his career en route to his maiden Wimbledon final.

The 32-year-old will have to do likewise in the final, having lost both his previous grass-court clashes against Djokovic - both at Wimbledon (2011 and 2015).

Anderson is the first South African man to appear in a Wimbledon final in 97 years and is looking to become only the second South African Grand Slam winner since Johan Kriek's 1981 Australian Open title.

Leading bookmakers BET.co.za have installed Djokovic, who's looking for his 13th Grand Slam title, as a 4/25 favourite, with Anderson available at 18/5.

For those non-fans of the tiebreak-less fifth and final set, the good news in the match is favoured to be decided in straight sets (1/1), with four sets at 9/5 and 57/20 for the clash to go the maximum distance.

The match is due to start at 15:00 SA time.
