Auckland - Anthony Watson doesn't believe that Sonny Bill Williams' shoulder charge was intentional in the Lions' win in Wellington last weekend.
Williams received a red card for a shoulder charge which connected with the face of Watson in the 25th minute of the match and has received a four-week ban for his actions.
And Watson has no hard feelings towards Williams for the incident.
"He messaged me on Twitter to say there was no intention and I don't doubt that," Watson told the Daily Mail.
"I don't think he's a malicious player so I don't think he intentionally led with his shoulder to hurt me or anything like that. It's just unfortunate, I guess.
"I had to brace myself for it, I guess, but it's part and parcel of the game."
The Lions wing has been an integral part of the side's recent success, with his run down the right wing leading to Taulupe Faletau's try in Wellington.
"Getting the win at the weekend has given us a lot of confidence," Watson said.
"I wouldn't say we've got them on the ropes, but we've definitely got to keep our momentum going."
